Description

The Unitree A2 is a medium-sized industrial quadruped robot measuring 820 by 440 by 570 mm standing and weighing approximately 42 kg with battery. It features a dual-battery hot-swappable system with single 9,000 mAh (453.6 Wh) batteries, providing over 5 hours unloaded continuous walking (approximately 20 km) and over 3 hours with 25 kg load (approximately 12.5 km). Maximum joint torque reaches approximately 180 N·m with speeds from 0 to 5 m/s. Standing load is approximately 100 kg with continuous walking load of approximately 25 kg (up to 35 kg ideally). It climbs 30 cm stairs, 45-degree slopes, and 0.5 to 1 m obstacles. Twelve joint motors with industrial-grade crossed roller bearings, dual encoders, and local air cooling provide power. The standard A2 includes 1 LiDAR and 1 HD camera, while the A2 PRO adds dual LiDAR, GPS, 4G, wireless vector follow, and core components rated IP67. External interfaces include RS485 x2, CAN x2, Gigabit Ethernet x2, USB 3.0 Type-C x4, and 12V/24V/BAT power outputs. An 8-core CPU plus Intel Core i7 handle processing with optional high-compute expansion dock. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, microphone array, speaker, and front light are standard. An optional wheel-leg kit is available. Secondary development is supported with continuous OTA upgrades. Targets industrial inspection, logistics, and research.
