The UBTECH Panda Robot is a bipedal humanoid service robot with a panda-themed appearance, created as the official partner AI robot for the China Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. Standing 130 cm tall and weighing 63 kg, it features 41 degrees of freedom across legs (6×2), arms (7×2), hands (6×2), and neck (3), powered by 41 high-performance servo joints with torque ranging from 4.5 N·m to 200 N·m at 30 to 90 rpm. It walks at up to 3 km/h, climbs 15 cm steps and 20-degree slopes, and carries 1.5 kg single-arm load with a 600 mm arm span. Key capabilities include U-SLAM navigation with 10 cm localization and 20 cm navigation accuracy, hand-eye coordination for object manipulation, multi-modal interaction with 28-plus built-in robot emotion displays, and visual intelligence for human-like communication. It performs Tai Chi, yoga, dance performances, calligraphy, and drawing via online character stroke planning with precise force and position control. A bionic eye design uses dual flexible curved screens with a 4-dimensional indicator system. Dual Intel i7 8665U processors and NVIDIA GT1030 graphics run ROSA on Ubuntu plus Linux RT Preempt plus Android. A 54.6 V 10 Ah lithium battery provides 2-hour runtime with 2-hour charging. Connectivity includes dual-band WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, EtherCAT, and USB 3.0. Targets entertainment and reception at exhibitions and events.
