Franka Research 3 is a seven-degree-of-freedom force-sensitive robot system tailored for AI and robotics research. It features torque sensors in all seven axes, a 3 kg payload, 855 mm reach, and position repeatability under 0.1 mm. The system provides a 1 kHz Franka Control Interface for low-level real-time access to sensor data and motion control, ROS 2 and MATLAB integration, and safety certification according to ISO 13849-1 PL d Cat. 3 for human-robot collaboration.
