Description

The DexRobot DexCap is a wearable exoskeleton data acquisition and teleoperation system with 65 total degrees of freedom: 9 DOF per arm, 21 DOF per hand, and 5 DOF for the waist. Weighing 4.2 kg with a portable wearable design, it operates for up to 8 hours on battery. It uses 65 magnetic absolute encoders for millimeter-level positioning accuracy with endpoint position accuracy of 0.5 mm or better and attitude error under 0.1 degrees. Communication frame rate reaches 1,000 Hz wired and 200 Hz wireless via 2.4 GHz. It provides C++, Python, and ROS SDKs compatible with mainstream robotic arms and dexterous hand simulation models, and supports both Windows and Linux. It is designed for robotic learning and teleoperation research.
